Owner, Managing Director
I have been involved in photography for more than 20 years, both as a creator and a service provider. I have been running lab4art for 16 years. I am proud to lead a team whose members are all outstanding professionals in their own right. It has always been my dream to establish a professional photo lab in Budapest that meets the highest professional standards and serves a wide variety of artistic needs.
Although I am now mostly occupied with management and organizational tasks, I am still the happiest when I can retreat to the darkroom with a negative to enlarge it, shutting out the outside world.

Analog lab technician
I have been working in labs since I was a child. I started in my grandparents’ basement, then spent 10 years in the BRFK photo lab and 15 years at lab4art.
I don’t like to leave the darkroom, but I have to consult with you, so if you know exactly what you want to see on the photo paper, I’ll do my best to make it happen. However, if you are unsure, I can easily figure out which paper, style, and mood suits your negative. But even if you don’t have a negative, just a concept in your head, I can do that too.
I am quite precise and always approach the task with respect.
Hegyi Zsolt
Customer service, scanning, color negative development
I have been studying photography since I was 21 years old. I learned the tricks of the trade from Demeter Balla, and I was the manager of Látszótér, where I helped the community with image analysis and evaluation. You will meet me first when you enter the studio as part of the lab4art team. I will call your color films and digitize your work at 40 megapixels using the latest technology. I design the lab, from our films to media appearances. You can meet me on Saturdays at our image analysis and digital post-production workshops. In my free time, I make podcasts and YouTube videos. I will do my best to help you in any way I can, and I will be happy to see you leave lab4art with a smile on your face and satisfaction in your heart.

A Látszótér pedellusa, a Látszótér Alapítvány kuratóriumának elnöke. 1989 óta foglalkozik fényképezéssel, szakmai fejlődését Demeter irányította. Fogadja, publikálja, véleményezi és értékeli a fotós-videós munkákat, aktív szerepet játszik az összejövetelek szervezésében, a közösségi irányvonal meghatározásában. Garázsmenet című műsora kéthetente kedd este nyolctól hallható rádiónkban.
